What does Formation mean?

A magical array or structured technique that manipulates energy across an area.

Part 1

Formations are often used for defense, illusion, teleportation, trapping enemies, gathering qi, or protecting sects.

Part 2

They make settings feel engineered rather than purely spell-based.

Part 3

For game or story design, formations are excellent for puzzles, sieges, forbidden zones, and ancient ruins.
